Charlie Frye's quintessential folk art collection will be on display at Kentuck's satellite gallery at Hotel Indigo until October 23, 2022. This space provides an opportunity to see the style of works that Charlie is typically known for, such as his beloved landscapes and homages to historical landmarks.

Charlie's work is colorful and full of movement with a sense of whimsy and wonder. The paintings on display at Hotel Indigo do not disappoint; they make a big impression in a small space. Charlie Frye's work can be found in many public and private collections throughout the United States. He exhibits his work in many outdoor festivals, including Fearrington Folk Art Show and past Kentuck Festival of the Arts.

Charlie Frye is a self taught artist from Southern Appalachian Foothills of Lenoir, North Carolina. His family has been in that area for over 100 years. His work reflects this strong connection to the area as well as the importance of family, with several paintings of family members. Throughout his work there is also an emotional sense of pride in is country. He says,
"We all need to strive to be the best Americans we can be which means being the best humans we can be."
